Peggy Downey Ball

Peggy is originally from New York State and Connecticut. She wrote her first poem in fourth grade, and it was published in the school newspaper.

Since then, her poetry, personal essays, and stories have appeared in Motor Boating and Sailing magazine, Golden Years magazine, Florida Today, and Driftwood. She has received awards from Space Coast Poetry Club, National League of Pen Women, Strawbridge Art League, and Scribblers of Brevard.

She has published five books of her work: Tickle Toe Hill; The Many Moods of Love; 50-50, The Mini Saga Book; Florida Souvenir; and What Do You Wish For?

Peggy lives on Merritt Island, where the daily performance of dolphins, manatees, and other wild creatures provides endless inspiration.
